Paint by Sticker Masterpieces Recreate 12 Iconic Artworks One Sticker at a Time! Workman Publishing 9780761189510 Books Reviews

  • The size of this book, the amount of details, artwork, and perforated pages are great! There are also some tips in the front of the book to help you along the way. In one of the tips, it mentioned using either a toothpick or tweezers to help you place the stickers. It would be a nice addition if either of those were included with the book. Some of the stickers are a bit small (Yep, I'm looking at you👀, Breezing Up - Winslow Homer👀) but the end product is well worth it. On another art piece, I noticed that a few stickers aren't fully cut on some of the sticker pages which causes a little snafu when trying to pick them up.
Also, the book mentions that the stickers are sticky, which makes you think that they can't be moved once placed on the page, this is not the case unless you have the strength of Thor while pressing the stickers down.
Hopefully, there'll be more of these 'Masterpiece' books in the future!
  • I am so very disappointed by the quality of this book. I bought the last one and I loved it, this time they must have gotten a different manufacturer. The pictures are very nice, but the stickers are not cut correctly on several of the sheets (don't always completely fill the shape) - or not cut thoroughly - so they tear in a way they did not with the first book.
  • I’ve literally lost hours (not to mentiong functioning neck muscles) working on these. I even framed one of my favorite and put it up on my desk at work. It’s amazing to see these pictures form as you place even the tiniest of stickers. I highly recommend using a pair of tweezers. It makes it much easy to see where your stickers are going without your fingers getting in the way. Some of the stickers are slightly smaller than their shape or are a hair too big and overlap but I think it gives the pictures some extra character. Plus, you hardly notice once the final product is complete. This is a great product for those with patience and idle hands!
  • I found a dangerous new hobby. It's addictive! This is relaxing, not messy, and in the end you feel like you created art! I plan to laminate some of my best pieces and hang them.

I see many folks commenting about how the sticker pieces aren't cut out perfectly. It's supposed to look like a mosaic puzzle in the end, and that's the beauty of it.

Use tweezers to help positioning and sticking of the stickers, especially the small ones. In fact, I use tweezers the whole time. It helps with precision if you're a perfectionist such as myself.
  • These sticker by number books are very fun! My girls, ages 11 14 really enjoy them and so do I! It's great that the picture and corresponding sticker pages can be torn out of the book, so everyone can be working on their own picture at once. I'd highly recommend this as a fun creative outlet!
  • I bought this for my 5-year-old nephew, and it was very well-received. As an adult, I loved the vibrant colors and recognizable artworks, but I worried it would be too detailed for tiny fingers. It turned out to be just fine, though. The child in question gets in a lot of LEGO time, and has no trouble manipulating small things. If your child still struggles with that, though, you might consider one of the simpler paint-by-sticker titles. There are some made just for kids.

Overall, this is a really fun idea and it makes a great, cheap gift.
  • I SUPER enjoy these, and it’s wayyyy easier on my joints than coloring and knitting and than basically all the other hobbies I’ve had over the years. I dig it, and this was my third of these books that I own! In fact, I just ordered my fourth one (it’s paint by sticker birds). I hope this review helps!
PS — you absolutely need to have some tweezers on hand whenever you want to do this. You “can” use your hands instead, but it’s quite literally impossible to do it well without them. You don’t need anything fancy, except I seriously recommend either the kind with the flat, straight edge at a 90 degree angle or the flat straight ones at like a 45 degree angle. Basically, NOT the ones with the pointed tip. You could super easily tear a hole in your stickers with those!
  • I love coloring but the whole adult coloring books were really of no interest to me. When I saw that they now make paint by sticker books I was really interested in trying one out. I have a art history background so when I saw this book I bought it instantly. I have found myself getting lost in doing the works of art. It's fun to do and easy. The price is such a great deal through . Beautiful colors and detail. I really hope they come out with more art masterpiece books since I am almost done with this one.
